Well done Alex. I am sure you will be flooded with other suggestions, so to get the ball rolling, I use the Disable Comments plugin which is really easy to use, although Marty suggests WordPress Zero Spam I think. My other two suggestions which I would rate as very important as opposed to ‘nice to have’ would be WPS Hide Login and Limit Login Attempts Reloaded. But you video was great and helpful. Chat to you next week about the symposium I wrote to you about. I’ll have more details for you. Well done once again, and a very happy New Year. Best wishes, Colin

Wow! 70+!
That’s a list to choose from.

Usually posts like this are limited to 10-20 🙂
I’d like to mention one plugin in addition.
I like using tweetable quotes and Click to tweet worked OK for me.
But then I saw what I can do with TweetDis… Man, that’s impressive!
Strongly recommended!

Awesome list! I am already a won convert of Shortcodes Ultimate and YARPP. I would rather use Yoast than All in One SEO Pack (having had experience using both) and Editflow instead of the editorial calendar. The Post Reading Time plug-in is definitely on my must-try install list this month. Thanks!
